
A tragic incident took place in the Cambodian capital Phnom Penh when an unidentified woman, aged around 30, was found alive in a very weak condition in an empty plot. The incident took place on jul 27, 2026, at the junction of King Road and One One Boulevard, Sangkat Bak Kheng, Khan Choy Changwar area.
According to eyewitnesses, at around 5:30 am, a motorcyclist passed by and saw the woman lying on the ground, but he could not realize the seriousness of the situation and moved on. Later, at around 11 am, local citizens informed the police that the woman was still there.
Police and rescue teams immediately reached the spot upon receiving the information. Initial examination revealed that the woman was alive, but appeared to be severely weak and malnourished. Her identity could not be immediately ascertained, while locals said that she appeared to have been recently discharged from a hospital.
Rescue workers immediately shifted the woman to the Prekfon Health Center, where she was examined and treated. Doctors began monitoring her condition, while police began investigating her identity and the background to the incident.
The incident is a reminder that even in big cities, people in need are sometimes ignored for hours. If timely information had not been provided, the woman’s life could have been in further danger.
Police say the woman’s identity and the reasons for her arrival there are still unknown, but investigations are ongoing. No criminal action has been formally confirmed at this time.
